Gewöhnt man sich dran

Ich habe hier nämlich einen Widerstand in einem Gerät mit Netzkabel dran, welcher sehr warm wird. Woran kann das nur liegen und welchen Ersatzwiderstand muß ich einbauen? Denn ringsrum auf der Leiterplatte gibts bereits braune Verfärbungen...
