NE555 als astabile Kippstufe / astabiler Multivibrator (Schaltungstechnik)

Kann es vielleicht sein, dass der Widerstand R2 ganz weg muss und Pin 2 unverbunden bleibt? Schließlich brauch ich ja kein Eingangssignal.

EDIT: Der Widerstand R2 ist i-wie irrelevant für mich...
