Es steht doch nun alles drin:

Maxima (sehr mächtig, hat auch TEX-Export etc.)
Wenn das nicht hilft, dann YACAS, oder das vergleichsweise sehr günstige (bzw. auch kostenlose Version für Linux) von MuPAD. Damit sollte fast alles möglich sein, was "Otto-Normal-Mathematiker" so zu machen hat.
