Nicht ganz, es ist nur ein Polynom, welches einmal abgeleitet werden muss.

V=abc
mit a=c und a+b=S ergibt sich dann
V=Sa^2-a^3

Von diesem Polynom wird das lokale Maxima gesucht, wozu die Nullstelle der ersten Ableitung benötigt wird.
dV/da=2Sa-3a^2
Die Nullstelle dieser Funktion liegt bei a=2/3S

Wird dies wiederum in obige Gleichung eingesetzt, erhält man die schon genannte Lösung V=4/27S^3
