Hallo,
ich kenne die Schaltung nicht im Detail aber prinzipiell funktioniert das folgendermaßen:
Der Leistungstransistor wird einfach weiter aufgeregelt wenn ein Laststrom fließt.
Und zwar so weit, dass der Spannungsabfall am 0,1 Ohm Widerstand mit ausgeglichen wird.
Erst wenn der Spannungsabfall zu groß wird (Kurzschluss, Überlast) erkennt das IC das und regelt ab.
