Für den von mir genannten 270k-Widerstand reicht ein 1/4W Typ. Da wird nichts nennenswert warm. Wenn man eine weiße LED verwendet, leuchtet diese ausreichend hell. Man kann sie ja hinter einem roten Acrylglas o.ä. unterbringen, wenn es unbedingt rot leuchten soll.
Eine blaue LED geht übrigens auch ganz gut.
