Das ist eine Freilaufdiode, die eine hoheSpannungsspitze vermeidet. Wirkt sonst wie die Zündspule beim Auto.
Und diese Spannungsspitze dürfte deinen Transistor gekillt haben, anstatt ein Kurzschluss.
