Hallo Tobi,
schon lange in Betrieb - Stichwort "Baltic Cable". Aber genau daher kommen die Vorbehalte (ist ein "unipolares" system) Für eine Leitung kann man Gegenmaßnamen treffen, für flächendeckende Netze können "Nebenwirkungen" das Projekt killen!.
Und - wenn ich richtig liege - machte man das in ex USSR bereits seit Jahrzehnten.
