Bau einer Endstufe - "Loop Breaker" ? (Elektronik)

Hallo ich baue gerade eine 100W Endstufe. Die Schaltung hab ich aus dem Internet, von Rod Elliot. Nur eines verstehe ich nicht ganz.

Er schreibt dazu:
"The "loop breaker", which is the second bridge rectifier, paralleled with a 10 Ohm 1W resistor and 100nF capacitor (ceramic or polyester). This isolates the electronics from the mains earth, but still provides a robust return path for a fault current as will occur in the unlikely event of a primary-secondary breakdown in the power transformer, as well as providing RF interference grounding via the capacitor. "Bities" (small tingles from leakage currents) are bypassed by the 10 Ohm resistor. "

Leider verstehe ich nicht warum er einen Brückengleichrichter dafür nimmt ? Und den dann mit 10 Ohm kurzschliesst ?
