Moin zusammen,

seit längerem wird im TV regelmäßig über Weltraumschrott berichtet.
Die Problematik ist klar, die "Standard-Lösung" liegt auf der Hand.
Abstürzen und in der Atmosphäre verglühen lassen.
Aber hat schon irgendwer dran gedacht, was das für ne riesige Verschwendung ist? Mit irrsinnigem Aufwand wurden die Satelliten in den Orbit befördert und nun will man dies einfach verdampfen lassen?
Warum schickt man sie nicht auf eine Reise zum Mond und lässt sie in einem bestimmten Gebiet an der Oberfläche zerschellen oder in einem Standardorbit um den Mond kreisen, so ne Art Schrottplatz im Mondorbit.
Vorteil dieses Verfahrens: WENN man man irgendwann mal eine Besiedlung des Monds angeht, benötigt man Rohstoffe jeder Art. Auch und besonders Metalle. Diese könnte man in Teilen durchaus aus dem, zum Mond geschickten Schrott gewinnen. Immerhin verglüht er mangels Atmosphäre nicht, er zerschellt einfach auf der Oberfläche.

Mache ich einen Denkfehler?
Gab des bereits Publikationen, die auf solch eine Idee hinweisen?
Falls jeweils nein: Wem bei der ESA könnte man das mal stecken?
