Den Anzeigeteil kann man gut weg lassen und durch eine LED ersetzen. Bleibt noch ein Microcontroller statt eines 555. Wenn man Lust hat, sich in µC-Technik einzuarbeiten, ist der Mehraufwand zumindestens deutlich überschaubar.
